If everything is energy, then everything is one.

If everything is energy
then everything is one
right from the Buddhas in their temples
to the ‘leaders’ dropping bombs
and all the racists with their ignorance
to people they abuse
it’s true they’re self-abusing fools
cause really they’re connected too
whether a democrat or hunting fan
a vegan or republican
a peaceful priest and clergyman
or member of the Ku Klux Klan
If everything is energy
that beats at different frequencies
there’s no deep down divide between
what’s woman and what’s man
as well as trans or fluid anything
no gulf between a slave or king
the sky the ocean diamond rings
the sounds that sail when songbirds sing
the dinosaurs who’s fossils rest
no matter if you’re right or left
as all of space and time connects
we’ll all survive till nothings left
If everything is energy
I wonder why we’ve come to be
all disconnected consciously
and so obsessed with you and me
like phones with dodgy batteries
or laptops lacking USB
it seems there’s something blocking the
connected source that sets us free
I’m sure though that it’s not a bug
or something cast down from above
it’s testing us to find the love
that’s living deep inside our hubs
but as a species raw and young
still throwing strops and sucking thumbs
we’ve yet to learn to overcome
the wants and lusts that make us numb
so like a spoiled young child we cry
for one more toy that makes us high
and one more calming lullaby
just one more till the day we die
with evolution though i’m sure
we’ll learn that what we crave is stored
within ourselves inside our minds
that wisdom helping minds combine
and then we’ll feel that energy
that surges through from you to me
to all the shades our eyes can see
and every hidden entity,
and if it is in god you trust,
to trust yourself would still be just,

because if everything is energy,
then we are god, and god is us.
